What do I do?

I provide clarity and guidance for those who feel lost or hopeless.

I'm here for the burnt-out therapist who needs new language, the parent losing their mind trying to figure out what's going on with their kid, the partner who can't make heads or tails of their partner's trauma, the student who's never been spoken to like they're whole, and leaders who want to do better but don't know how.

You may have landed here because of my manifesto, and for that I'm grateful. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the possibility of people loving what I have to say.

I have lots of work planned for the coming months. For example, I'll be adding a section called "BOLD Ideas" where I write about my vision of the future.

Thanks again for taking an interest in my work. Scroll down to find out how I'm choosing to let people quietly support me and how you can interact with me.

Be well.

Voices like yours.

I'm still in the process of collecting testimonials, but here's a few.

"Rob, you truly are an amazing guy. You've inspired me and I'll never forget you."

Matthew Woodley Wilson

"I wish more people were like you and I met you sooner."

"I think [Rob's work] is some of the best I've read (...)."

Hamza Ali

"I feel like you can touch the bruises on my soul without hurting me."

The Work.

I write—primarily. Over the past decade I’ve penned dozens of letters to people seeking guidance. Some have been made available to the public under Private Correspondence. I think of myself as a lighthouse. I don't write to be seen, but rather to be a light to those who struggle to see in the dark.

I try to make myself available in the real world by:

  • Coaching people one-on-one to help them find clarity.
  • Organising local meetups for vulnerable people.
  • Hosting workshops on topics like neurodiversity, mental health, accessibility, and human well-being.

Why I write. I write to explore, not to be right. There's an abundance of research out there, and nobody knows it all. I write to understand, to connect the dots, to invite others into the conversation.

How to contact. We didn't evolve to talk to dozens of people every day. We lived in small tribes for most of our history as a species. On the Internet we must be deliberate about who we let into our little worlds. This is why I don't have a comment system in place. I like meeting people, but in real life I get to decide if I like your vibe and opt out if I don't. The Internet makes this selection process more difficult.

The Inner Circle. I'm creating an Inner Circle of people I trust to circumvent the problem. The only way to access the Circle is to buy into it through Patreon. Please join and become a trusted advisor, co-creator, or simply an enthusiastic supporter.

I offer most of my work free of charge to keep it accessible. If you’ve found value here and are able to help, your support means the world.
